4TH OF JULY ACTIVITIES
CELEBRATED SATURDAY, JULY 3rd
SIGN UP NOW! Craft/Yard/Food Sale spaces available. Take advantage of thousands coming into town. This year spaces will be set-up behind Main Street stores, in front of Library and at City Park. Call the City Hall to get your space – 435 462-2456.
ACTIVITIES ON JULY 3RD:
6:00 a.m. – Cannons
7:00 a.m. – Cancer Fun Run. Meet in front of Horseshoe Mountain Mexican Restaurant.
7:00 a.m. – Hospital Breakfast at the Park
9:00 a.m. – All Craft/Yard/Food Booths, Art Show on Library Lawn and Library Book Sales
- Entertainment on Main Street- Susan Shepherd
- Wagon Rides $1 in front of Soldier Memorial, for tours of Memorial, Relic House, and new Heritage Event Center. After Parade, both pick-ups and drop-offs at Memorial and City Park. Line-up at table designated Tours
10:30 a.m. – Children s Parade Line-Up – No registration necessary – just show-up at 700 S State Street by high school sign.
- Start lining up for the Mammoth Parade Line-up and get your number on 700 S at 500 W
11:00 a.m. – Children s Parade Begins lead by Fire Engine
11:30 a.m. - Mammoth Parade Begins (To register for Mammoth Parade call Coleen at 435 462-3034) She is taking calls now!)
12:30 p.m. – Carnival at the Park
- Mountain Men Booths and Activities
- Food and Craft booths at the Park as well as State and Main Street
- Entertainment at both ends of town
- Tours continue
1:00 p.m. – Rubber Duckie Race (buy a duck for $5)
Win a cash prize of $1,000. Extra donated money will go to the Swimming Pool Fund for Mt. Pleasant. Booth will be by Dairy Freeze and look for people selling Rubber Duckie Numbers. Race will be held behind the Main Street Stores in the creek.
2:00 p.m. – Youth City Council puts on free games and Prizes for youth in the park.
Activities will be going on all day! Enjoy all the Fun!

RODEO:
The Mount Pleasant Hub City Days Professional Rodeo will again be held at the the Outdoor Rodeo Grounds at the city park. The Rodeo will be held July 2 and 3 at 8:00pm, with the Pre-Shoe entertainment featuring Kid’s Mutton’ Bustin’ at 7:00pm. Kids 7 years and under interested in Mutton’ Bustin’ must pre-register on July 28th from 6-8pm only by calling 462-3816, limited to 25 contestants. See poster for more details >

Fun night at the Arena:
7:00 p.m. - Free Admission – Barrel Racing, Hide Race, Musical Tires, Trailer Race $10.00 an event – sign-up 5-6 p.m.
JULY 2nd & 3rd
7:00 p.m. – Pre-rodeo show entertainment featuring Mutton Bustin 7 yrs and under $10.00 To register call Debbie @ 435 462-3816 on June 28th 6:00p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Pig Chase 10 and under, $3.00 at gate.
8:00 p.m. – RODEO Circle J Rodeo Inc. $10.00 adults, kids 12 & under $4.00
PARADE:
4th of July will be celebrated on Saturday, July 3rd. Sign up for the parade by calling Coleen @ 462-3034. The sooner you call the better. If you do not have a form, call and give information over the phone. For kids parade, just show-up!
The children’s parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and line up at 10:30 a.m. at 700 S. State Street by high school sign, and the mammoth parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. The line up will be on 700 S between State Street and 500 W.
Spaces:
(Minimal charge is $40.00 outside of Mt. Pleasant, $35.00 inside, and $20.00 for yard sale spaces). Forms must be filled out at theCity for tax purposes. Call soon for your space!
Set-up for spaces should start on Friday, July 2nd. Everyone should be ready to go by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Crowds are ready to start buying by then. People are sitting around waiting for parade to start.
UPCOMING BIG EVENT;
August 13th and 14th there will be a San Pitch Cowboy Expo at the new Heritage Event Center. The Bull Rider Tour will be on the 14th.
